Settings overview

Settings is its own area in the Assemblified nav. It is not one page with tabs — every subject has its own page and its own address, listed in a panel down the left-hand side.

The panel

The panel lists every settings page, in five groups: Store, Catalogues, Connections, Tools and Account. A search box at the top filters the list as you type, so you can jump to a page by name without knowing which group it is in.

On a narrow screen the panel becomes a jump menu at the top of the content instead, with the same entries.

Every page in the area opens the same way: the page’s name in the admin title bar, the same name with its icon above the first card, and — when the AI assistant is switched on for your shop — an Ask AI action beside it.

Store

Settings about your shop as a whole.

General Inventory sync behaviour, the default location, multi-location sensitive adjustments, and the beta features.

Company Your company logo and the address and contact fields that print on packing slips.

Shopify Printing What the packing slip PDF shows, how bulk prints are combined, and the PDF footer.

Localization The currency Assemblified displays costs and prices in.

Catalogues

The shared lists the rest of the app picks from. Change an entry here and every record that references it follows. The short version of each is on Catalogue settings.

Additional costs The catalogue of extra costs you can attach to a bill or a work order.

Units Units of measure and the conversions between them.

Tags Material tags applied to Shopify products, plus the switch that tags incoming orders with their BOM status.

Metafields Metafield definitions — the custom fields your raw materials and production batches can carry.

Work orders Export templates, the quality-control vocabularies, and work-order tags.

Assignees The people a work order can be assigned to.

Bill versions Whether a version of each changed bill is saved every night.

Connections

Integrations Connections to the companion apps, and the Shopify metafield syncs.

API & agent access API keys and the AI-agent connection.

Multi-store The store group console: group, members, locations, settling and corrections.

Tools

Tools do not hold preferences. Each one reads something, shows you what it found, and acts only when you tell it to.

Import templates The saved column mappings behind the spreadsheet imports.

Historical Orders Replays past orders through your bills.

Inventory Health Finds finished goods whose local stock has drifted above Shopify's, and closes the gap.

Reservation backfill Creates the missing reservations for orders still waiting for fulfillment, and migrates open Shopify orders after a stocktake.

Reporting The order copy the sales reports read, and its nightly sync.

Account

Billing Your current plan and status, and what each of the three plans unlocks.

Links that keep working

Opening Settings with no page named lands you on General.

Old bookmarks and the links inside the Shopify order extensions still work — a few now open a renamed page: packing-slip settings open Shopify Printing, language and currency both open Localization, and exports opens Work orders.

Plans

Some settings need a higher plan than others. Where one does, the control is visibly switched off and names the plan it needs rather than accepting an edit that would be refused. Cost factors, metafield definitions and the nightly bill-version snapshot need Enhanced; creating a multi-store group needs Elevate.
